Hi Everyone!

I know it has been a long time since I have blogged and I thought it was time to give you and update on how things are going! This year has been awesome so far. I have seen God move on the hearts of people and I have seen my monthly support increase! I have had the privilege of traveling around the Northern New England District visiting churches and attending sectional councils as well as women's conventions! I love having the opportunity to connect and reconnect with people from my wonderful district.

I want to make you aware of the numbers for my budget so that you can get a real sense of how much more I have to raise and to pray about what your part might be. Currently I need $1886/mo in pledges! I can break this down for you, this means that I basically need 50 people to pledge $25/mo, 30 people to pledge $15/mo and 20 people to pledge $10/mo. This would get me to my monthly amount that I need to raise! Maybe you are looking at these amounts and there in not one that falls into your budget, that's ok, feel free to give a different about! Any amount is helpful! Maybe you are able to give more than the amounts listed here, that's awesome, I know that God will bless each person who becomes a part of my support team! If you are interested in becoming a part you can do so by clicking on the giving link here on my website or if you would prefer to submit a pledge form via "snail mail" I can send you a copy of that as well

Recently in a group prayer a gentleman was praying that the group would learn to become more like me. I immediately was thinking, umm, no we don't need any more people to be like me! He was praying that as Christians that they would become more willing to give up certain things in order to see that others might hear about the free gift of eternal life. His point was that I was willing to leave behind my family, friends, and my culture that I have grown up in, and go into a different country in order to make the name of Jesus known. I had never looked at this way, as though I was leaving anything behind. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God has called me for such a time as this and in so doing He has prepared me for the road that I must travel! Yes, physically I am leaving behind family and friends, but I am taking them with me in my heart and it makes it easier knowing that I have their 100% support!

I would like to leave you with a challenge, would you be willing to consider what you might be able to "give up" in order for some child, college student, or adult in Mexico to be able to hear the true story of the free gift of eternal life? I'm not asking you to give your money so that I can go have a fun time vacationing in Mexico on your dime! I'm asking so that the other 98% of the population that don't have a real relationship with Jesus can have a chance to hear and to accept!

Feel free to contact me at: [email protected] I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have or hear any input that you have as well!!

I pray that God blesses each one of you!!

Have you ever been on a mountain top and experienced what it felt like to be on top of the world! To look out over the creation below and marvel and the handiwork and creativity of God? I love being on the mountain top! I don't always enjoy the work that it takes to get to the top, however that is part of the process! Needless to say my journey since this summer has been full of mountain tops and valleys, something that I had not anticipated at this point in my journey!

When I first received the news that I was approved through AGWM excitement and anticipation bubbled up out of me. It was not only a dream that was coming true but a calling that God had ingrained within me that was being fulfilled as well.

I was excited about where God was taking me and overjoyed to finally be "itinerating!" Little did I realize that although I was a lot closer to being on the mission field than I was five years ago, there were still some tough times ahead before actually reaching the mission field. It has proven to be more work than I had anticipated and a constant battle of what is more important my current part time job or itinerating, earning some extra money on the side babysitting or sitting down and trying to get through to pastors.

Lately, I have been on a lot of mountain tops! I have been blessed to be able to speak at several different churches and share the calling that God has placed on my life. However, along with those mountain tops I have also felt like I was in the deepest darkest valley, trying to figure out how to share with pastors and individuals what God has called me to do in a way that they will understand that there is a part for them as well!

So I'm going to lay it out here for everyone to see. I haven't talked about the figures of my budget a whole lot, in part because I find them a little overwhelming at times and also because I didn't ever want to come off as trying to push people into supporting me. There are two parts to my budget: monthly and cash. Monthly will be the money that I live on while I am in Mexico. It will pay for things like housing, food, personal items, transportation etc. The cash budget is for expenses to and from the field, visas, first months rent and different up front costs. Monthly I have to raise $2453, I have raised about 11% of that amount at this point. My Cash budget, I have to raise $14059, I have raised about 22% of my cash. I know that there are less than 4 weeks left in December, however I would love to see both these numbers at 50% by the beginning of the new year!

All it takes is for people to sign up and say they are going to start supporting me monthly! No amount is too small! If all you can do is $5/month that's fantastic! It gets me $5/month closer to my monthly budget! If you are interested in giving you can visit the giving page and sign up online. If you would prefer to send a check monthly you can contact me at [email protected] and I will provide you with the information on how to set that up as well. If you are reading this post, please take time to pray and consider what God might be leading you to do.

I believe that we all go through mountain tops and valleys and while the mountain top may be a more pleasing place to be I think it is time to start finding the joy in the valley as well. God created valleys for a reason and they too are beautiful! Most often they are times of learning and growing. Later on in life we can look back and be thankful those valleys!

Today I was blessed beyond measure by one of my fifth grade Junior Bible Quizzers, Camille!
After several weeks of being away I was back at my home church this morning. Everything was pretty normal, we had an awesome time of worship followed by a good message. However, in between the worship and message, Camille, who I have had the opportunity to disciple stood up in front of the whole congregation to present me with a check of $410 for my Mexico budget! I was so totally surprised and moved by what she did. Camille explained that when she found out about God's call on my life to go to Mexico to reach the lost, she felt like God was telling her to help me raise my budget. So without my knowledge, she made these super cute book marks and contacted people in the church and friends and family telling them what she was doing and sold the book marks to raise the money! As a fifth grader Camille is learning to listen to the voice of God, how awesome is that! I am so blessed to be a part of her life and to see her grow in her relationship with Jesus and in turn to be blessed by her and her family!
Today a scripture came to mind as Camille shared what she had done, 1 Timothy 4:12 says, "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech in life, in love, in faith and in purity." Over the years this was a scripture that I would continually go to. As a young person, believing from a young age that God had called me to the mission field it was a reminder to me that even at a young age I could make a difference.
I implore you to be sensitive to the voice of God as Camille was. Whatever it is that He may be asking of you don't hold back because you think you're not the right person or you don't have what it takes. God is the one who equips us for the tasks that He has called us to do!

June 7th I flew to Springfield, Mo for two weeks of Pre-field
orientation. The next step towards heading back to the mission field. I went to
orientation thinking that I was headed to Concepcion, Paraguay to work with
Fredy and Terisa Vasquez. God had other plans though. Within the first week of
orientation God showed me that He had something totally different in-store me.
My destination was divinely changed to Guadalajara, Mexico!

I am so excited to be going back to Guadalajara. I have always felt
such a burden for the people, especially children of Mexico. I am going to be
work with Cory and Angela Hogan. Currently the Hogan’s are focusing on campus
ministry in the city of Guadalajara. I will be working alongside the Hogan’s
helping with the campus ministry, as well as being able to branch out and be
involved in children ministry as well.

Right now I am in the process of raising my support Team! This
involves recruiting people to be a part of my prayers team as well as those who
would be willing to be a part of my financial support team. If you are
interested in being a part of my team please contact me! If you would like to
give financially you can do so online at s1.ag.org/rmullins or
you can mail a check to AGWM.

Thanks for supporting me! Keep checking back for updates about my
itineration process and my trip to the mission field!

Some Statistics:

“Devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe remains strong even as other aspects of
Mexican society have changed. The UNAM national opinion poll found, for example,
that nine out of ten Mexicans continued to ask intercessions from the Virgin or
a saint.” http://countrystudies.us/mexico/61.htm

The states of Guanajuato, Aguascalientes, Michoacán and Querétaro have less
evangelicals per capita than the United Arab Emirates, yet nobody thinks about
sections of Mexico as unreached! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protestantism_in_Mexico

If you look at Jalisco, Jalisco barely has 2%, which is the definition of an
unreached people group. Can you imagine? Big, old, modern Jalisco has more
people praying to somebody other than God, than per capita in Egypt. 10-20% of
Egyptians are either Coptic or Evangelical, and while Coptics do believe in
intercession of the saints, they hold God as to be the only God, while Mexican
Catholics have made the virgin of Guadalupe to be as equally divine as Jesus
Christ, and pray more to her than to God.
